A lot has been stated in the papers not long ago about the bingo industry being hit because of the smoking ban in England. Conditions have grown so poor that in Scotland the Bingo industry has called for huge tax breaks to help keep the businesses from going bankrupt. The effects of the anti cigarette law can already be felt in Scotland where smoking is already forbidden in the bingo halls. Profits have plummeted and the business is absolutely struggling for to stay alive. But where have all the players gone? Obviously they haven’t abandoned this classic game?
